You're going to do what???

It's no wonder why I get that reaction everytime I tell people I'm training for a trialthlon. I was never much of an athlete in high school. But here I am now - I own two bikes - a Giant Iguana mountain bike and a Canondale road bike, complete with aero bars!

IWhen I first started training, I could barely ride my bike around the neighborhood. Now I'm riding 20-30 mile rides with no problem. My favorite Trails are:

Coyote Creek Trail

Los Gatos Creek Trail

I got off to a rough start when I hit the water for the first time - I was completely exhausted after swimming only laps. Now, I can easily swim 1/4 mile. My goal is to be able to swim 1/2 mile by my first Tri.

Running has been the biggest challenge. Still haven't been able to run for more than a mile. But I'm sure I'll be up to two miles by the time of the Tri :)
